A sweet outfit for today -- decided to pair this very cute crochet jacket from Line & Dot with my American Apparel corduroy skirt.  I love mixing fabrics and textures, a la crochet & corduroy.  And there's a new addition to my ever-growing shoe collection! They're these Kimchi Blue suede flatforms (have always wanted some), and may I say..they are sooo comfy!  Lastly, the jacket is my fave part because its delicate and unique with the cute scalloped design on the edge of the pockets and jacket.

Layers & twists.

Black thrifted at Crossroads boyfriend coat, Tan American Apparel top and denim shirt, Silver HM necklace, Rust c/o 2020AVE twisted mini skirt, Bracelets: Forever 21, c/o LUXLA, CC Skye, c/o JewelMint, Tan Sam Edelman Valin wedges, Brown c/o Swellmayde envelope clutch, Brown Karen Walker Number One sunglasses.

Finally get to share with you one of my prized possessions -- this beautiful boyfriend coat I found at the Crossroads Holiday Party, definitely embodies Parisian Chic.  Decided with this outfit to have fun layering, I've really been inspired by Chriselle Lim (a truly aamazing fashion stylist and blogger!) who recently made a Youtube video on layering, def check it out ;).
Underneath is an AA denim shirt and over it put a lightweight loose jersey top, and I always love adding accessories, so a choker necklace is a must underneath the collar.  Thought of having a little arm candy party going on too.  And best part of the outfit is this gorgeous skirt from 2020AVE -- it has this unique shape to it with the twisted fabric in the front and love the vibrant and rich rust color.  Definitely check out 2020AVE as they have really amazing pieces in addition to something I find very important in shopping -- affordable clothing!  Coveting these few items right now for spring (keeping up with my New Years Style Resolution for bright colors) ;): 1, 2, 3.
Also, I am soo happy I finally got my Karen Walker number one sunglasses -- I've been eyeing and coveting it for SO long, and finally decided to add it to my wardrobe.  Can't wait to wear these babies for spring/summer! :)
Which btw, I am yearning for more sunshine and warmth..lets hope for early spring! :)

Buy Strength, Give Love.

Black Urban Outfitters beanie (similar one here), Ivory Guess leather jacket (similar one here), Light pink HM high-low shirt, Brown American Apparel skirt, Tan Buylove best friend tote bag, Light brown ASOS ankle boots (similar one here).

Excited to share with you lovelies a very sweet blog post today :).  Buylove had a blogger campaign this past year inviting bloggers to send each other friendship tote bags.  Theresa from Trendy Rose, one of my really great friends & who also is an amazing fashion blogger, chose me as her soul sister blogger, bff, & inspiration.  I was in awe and honored by all three words of course :).  I too sent it off to one of my blogger best friends forever, Chelsea from Zipped.
The concept behind Buylove has a beautiful and inspiring meaning-- promote women empowerment all over by supporting causes and spreading love. :)  Definitely the tote bags make a wonderful gift for not only best friends but sisters, moms, aunties, or anyone who is special to you.
Another amazing thing about Buylove tote bags is after purchase of a tote bag from any of their lines, 5% will be donated to a cause specific to the line you've chosen (Buy Strength, Buy Love, Buy Hope, Buy Wishes).
And better yet, to start off the new year, Buylove is having end of season markdowns on all their bags!

P.S. Lastly, wanted to share with you these amazing graphic portraits made by Danielle from Things She Made.  She's super talented and a lovely fashion blogger, definitely check out more of her artwork on her blog! :)
I hope you were inspired by this post as the whole meaning behind the tote bag is really special to me.  Hope you lovelies will have an amazing weekend (TGIF!).  Continue to inspire with ur amazing posts Beautifuls!

Polka-dotted floral.

Navy thrifted Liz Claiborne polka dot blouse, Black c/o Crystal Hearts Vintage floral silk cardigan, Silver rings: Forever 21, Crossroads, Tan American Apparel chiffon skirt, Brown c/o Hobo International Candis bag, Black thrifted straw boater hat, Tan Sam Edelman Valin wedges.

Hi Lovelies!!  I know it's been quite a while since I've posted, but better late than never right?!  I've really missed you all so much...that's why been trying to KIT via my facebook and twitter on my off-days from the blog.  Anyways, the Holidays took a big toll on me -- family parties, shopping for presents, the works.

But, back with a cool post!  For this New Year, really want to change-up or moreover enhance my wardrobe..I want to challenge myself in fashion by trying to incorporate more prints and brighter colors in my everyday style.  Sooo..first up -- prints! I've always loved from afar how ppl can convey the "print-on-print" trend so perfectly..but today, decided to try it for myself!  I love this cardigan from Crystal Hearts Vintage, firstly because it has this cute floral design but also a unique silk fabric.  Mixing floral and polka dots seemed like the best way to create a cute yet fun outfit.
Added silver accessories and boater hat for a laidback look, along with my trusty Hobo International Candis bag  (I've used it to death..it has so many amazin' features -- bonus: lots of pockets!), and for comfort and height wore my Sam Edelman wedges.

I hope you lovelies are doing well!  Unfortunately, my winter break is nearing its end and I'm trying to savor each moment before I have to go back.  I can't believe my last semester at UC Berkeley is coming up!!  I still remember being a freshmen in college.  My first class at Cal was huge! 600 students in one classroom.  I will miss you Cal. Sigh, bittersweet.
Have an amazing week ahead!  Keep inspiring Beautifuls <3.
♥, Kathleen.
